Roy P.C. Kessels

Roy P.C. Kessels is professor of neuropsychology at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour at Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He is also a clinical neuropsychologist working at the Vincent van Gogh Institute for Psychiatry. He has a broad research interest, with a focus on disorders of memory and learning, including patients with dementia, Korsakoff’s syndrome and cerebrovascular disease. He has studied different aspects of memory and learning (i.e. implicit learning, spatial episodic memory, working memory) in interaction with other cognitive domains, combining cognitive-experimental paradigms, neuroimaging and neuropsychological testing.
